Article 1 – Purpose

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform users of the website of the Association of Families of Free French Commandos – Kieffer Commando of the methods of collection, use and protection of their personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Article 2 – Data Controller

The controller of personal data is the Association of Families of Free French Commandos – Commando Kieffer, an association under the 1901 law, represented by its president, Mr. Simon Nawijn.

Article 3 – Personal Data Collected

In the course of using the site, the Association may collect personal data relating to users, in particular when creating a member area, submitting a testimonial, applying for membership or making contact.

This data may include, depending on the case, first and last name, email address, date of birth, place of residence (when provided optionally), telephone number (optional) as well as the content of messages or testimonies transmitted.

Article 4 – Purposes of the processing

The personal data collected is used exclusively for the purposes of managing members and memberships, communicating with members, validating and publishing testimonials, as well as for the organization and operation of the association's activities.

Article 5 – Payment of contributions

Membership fees are paid through external payment providers, such as Wix Payments or PayPal, or by check.
The Association does not have access to users' bank details at any time; these are processed exclusively by the relevant service providers.

Article 6 – Access to data

Access to personal data is strictly limited to authorized members of the Association's office and to technical service providers involved in the operation of the site, within the limits of their respective missions.

Article 7 – Shelf life

Personal data is kept for the entire duration of the person's membership.
At the end of this period, the data is deleted or archived within a maximum of thirty days, unless there is a legal obligation requiring longer retention.

Article 8 – Rights of individuals

In accordance with current regulations, every person has the right to access, rectify and delete personal data concerning them.

Article 9 – Cookies

As the site is developed and hosted on the Wix platform, only cookies strictly necessary for its operation are used, in particular for reasons of security, navigation and access to the member area.
These cookies do not serve any advertising purpose.

Article 10 – Amendment to the Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be modified at any time to ensure its compliance with applicable regulations. Users are encouraged to review it regularly.
